BP has appointed a new chief executive - who'll  replace Kenmare-man Bernard Looney.

Murray Auchincloss, the new CEO, will take home an annual salary worth more than 1 point 6 million euro.

Bernard Looney stepped down last year after failing to disclose details about relationships with colleagues.

The new boss has been interim CEO since September.
