Householders and members of the public are being warned about bogus callers, who're purporting to be from the ESB.
It's believed they've been operating in the Tralee area, calling to random houses in the last number of days.
ESB Networks contacted Radio Kerry this afternoon, saying they've received reports from customers the Tralee area, concerning individuals falsely claiming to represent ESB Networks staff.
It's understood they've called to a number of houses, attempting to gain access.
The network is reminding the public, that all official ESB Networks staff carry official identification, and will never attempt to gain access to a property without presenting it first.
They also say it's highly unlikely that one of their staff would call to a home without prior notice.
Members of the public are urged to exercise caution, remain vigilant, and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities immediately.
