The body of a woman has been taken from the water in Ballybunion.
The discovery was made around three o'clock this afternoon, when two people walking on the Ladies Beach spotted the body in the water and raised the alarm.
Members of Ballybunion Sea and Cliff Rescue Service were tasked to the scene, along with Gardaí and ambulance personnel.

It's understood that the woman - who's believed to have been in her 40s and not from the locality - was pronounded dead at the scene.
Gardaí are not treating the death as suspicious.
