A bathing ban has been put in place at Ballinskelligs beach.
The prohibition follows a discharge from the nearby wastewater plant, which was caused by a burst in the rising main from the pump station.

The burst is now being repaired, and water quality testing is being carried out.

Kerry County Council says it is protocol to prohibit bathing at the beach until tests come back clear.
