Average Kerry rent jumps by 10%

Average rents in Kerry jumped by 10% in a year.

A new report points to an extraordinarily weak availability of rental accommodation across the country.

The latest report from property website, Daft.ie shows that in the first quarter of this year, the average rent in Kerry was €975; that's up 10.2% compared to the same period in 2020.

It also marks a quarter-on-quarter increase of 3.1%.

Average rent for a one=bed apartment in Kerry is up 9% to €689, for a two-bed house it is up 8% to €767 and rent for a three-bed house rose almost 6% to €864.

Renting a four-bed house cost €997, which is a 11% increase and it was €1,091 for a five-bed house; a jump of 8.5%.
