Almost €150,000 allocated to community and voluntary groups in Kerry

Almost €150,000 (€149,415) in government funding has been allocated to community and voluntary groups in Kerry.

10 groups across the county will receive the COVID-19 Stability funding, which aims to support organisations suffering financially due to a reduction in fundraising or traded income because of the pandemic.

The largest allocation in Kerry is for the Listowel Community Centre Company Limited by Guarantee, a non-governmental organisation which will receive over €50,000 for the provision of space for essential services.

Education Minister and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD Norma Foley, and Kerry Fine Gael TD, Deputy Government Chief Whip Brendan Griffin, have welcomed the allocation for the county.
