The 80th anniversary of the Allied victory in Europe over Nazi Germany has been commemorated in Killarney.
V E Day was remembered at a gathering at Mission Road.
Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council Cllr Breandán Fitzgerald laid a wreath at the statue of Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty.

Monsignor O’Flaherty helped save the lives of thousands in Rome during World War Two.
Cllr Fitzgerald praised Cllr Marie Moloney for her role in today’s ceremony.
