27 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry

There are 27 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry today.

That’s according to figures from the Irish Nurses’ and Midwives’ Organisation.

20 of these patients are on trolleys in UHK’s emergency department, while a further seven are in trolleys in wards.

Nationally, 700 people are waiting for a bed in hospitals throughout the country.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst hit by overcrowding with 102 people waiting on trolleys there.
