26 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry

There are 26 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry today.

That’s according to figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.

18 people are on trolleys in UHK’s emergency department, while a further eight patients are waiting on trolleys in wards elsewhere within the hospital.

Nationally, 443 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected with 127 people waiting on trolleys.
