Approval has been granted for 24 social housing units on the former Denny site at the Island of Geese in Tralee.
The Department of Housing has approved in principle the construction by Kerry County Council of 17 one-bed and 7 two-bed apartments off the Matt Talbot Road.
The expected completion date will be announced once building has begun.

Education Minister and Kerry Fianna Fáil TD, Norma Foley says the development will provide homes in Tralee for those that need it most; particularly the one-bed units, which are in short supply.
Minister Foley thanked Kerry County Council for its hard work in these challenging times and commitment to provide social housing.
