The Education Minister says delaying Leaving Cert results was necessary to ensure the integrity of the calculated grades process.
It was revealed last night that grades will not be available until September 7th, three weeks later than normal.
Both the CAO and UCAS have committed to issuing offers on September 11th.

Minister Norma Foley says she wants students be reassured by the announcement.
