There are 21 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry Emergency Department today.
That’s according to figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.
Nationally, 295 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country.

University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected with 81 people waiting on trolleys.
