10 new jobs are to be created in Killorglin, from a significant expansion of a leading pharmaceutical company.
Aenova is a leading pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organisation, which operates a facility in Bansha.
It’s an end-to-end company, meaning it supports customers through the entire drug product lifecycle.

The facility in Killorglin was first established in 1972 as Klinge Pharma; in 2007, Temmler Pharma took over this site and in 2012, Temmler Pharma was acquired by Aenova Group.
Around 70 people are directly employed at its Killorglin base, with many other downstream positions in their many service providers.
This new expansion aims to enable the company to develop innovative drug delivery systems in the future, creating ten jobs in research and development, pharmaceutical technology and analytics.
It will place the company’s Ireland site in Bansha at the centre of the company’s development capabilities in particle engineering, focusing on spray-dried amorphous solid dispersions and inhalation powders.
Chief Scientific Officer at Aenova, Florent Bordet, says this will help its customers bring their products to market faster.
This project is supported by the government through IDA Ireland, and the expansion and investment has been welcomed by the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism, and Employment Peter Burke, and Minister for Children, Disability and Equality, Kerry TD Norma Foley.
CEO of IDA Ireland, Michael Lohan, also congratulated the company on the expansion and assured them of the IDA’s continued support.
