Jerry spoke to Desmond Beatty, President of the Irish Chess Union about a charity chess tournament taking place this Saturday, February 21st and which has been organised by the Irish Chess Union, NEWKD and MTU. Ukrainian chess champion, Yunis Barudi, who studies at MTU will compete against more than 60 participants – simultaneously! The event has been organised to mark the fourth anniversary of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
