Last year, one of Kerry's stand-out projects was the Maharees Conservation Association, which won the Heritage category for its tireless work in protecting the stunning environment of the Maharees on the Dingle Peninsula. The area, known for its natural beauty, faces threats from erosion and changing weather patterns, and the Maharees Conservation Association has been at the forefront of conservation efforts in this region.
We spoke with Martha Farrell from the Maharees Conservation Association, and she shared insights into their journey, how the association began, and the vital role the community plays in preserving this unique landscape.
Listen in to hear Martha's inspiring story and learn how one local group is making a lasting impact on both the environment and the community.
