On Christmas Day 2024, at 5pm, Radio Kerry listeners were treated to an entertaining hour long radio drama, Jersey Number Thirteen, written, directed and produced by Mary Lavery Carrig. The voice acting cast was made up of Jessica Guerin from Beaufort, Sean Collins from Firies, Siobhna Keane from Listowel, Tom Stack from Tarbert, Cian McGrath from Moyvane and Luke O'Doherty and Katelyn Galvin, both from Tralee. Music was composed by Matt Griffin, Dingle and Cian McGrath was the Senior Editor for the production. Coimisiun na Mean supported this project and we wish to acknowledge their funding support, thank you.
This fictional story is set in Rathbally, a small community in the South West of Ireland. The past had been carefully concealed. But when a GAA jersey became of central concern and matters of the past were slowly revealed, everyone was left reeling and there were far reaching consequences for the characters and families involved. Sincere thanks go to Radio Kerry for broadcasting the radio play. Enjoy listening!
