“It’s Our National Language; It Should Be Taught Properly”: Proposed Reforms to Irish Language Education – January 28th, 2026

Jerry spoke to Joseph Scanlon of Presentation Milltown secondary school about his proposal for reforming Irish language education, with a strong focus on improving real language fluency. His proposal has been sent to TDs, Ministers, and relevant government bodies, and he has now been invited to speak to the Joint Committee on Education and Youth in Seanad Éireann. To help demonstrate public support for the proposal, he has launched a petition on Change.org.
