Hi Joe and Dominic, Here are a few photos I took on Feb 18th at Béal Bán beach Ballyferriter Co Kerry while out for a stroll on Feb 18th last.

  1. A large number of seagulls with a few oystercatchers towards the front getting ready to "Spring into action".They all flew off in unison a few minutes later, which was a lovely sight!
  2. A handful of those same seagulls after they had "Sprung into action"!
  3. A playful dog "springing into action" during playtime with its owners !

Joe and Domnick,

Attached are my photos for this months In Focus.

  1. Crops planted near Brownhill Dolmen in Co. Carlow. It was raining when I took the photo.
  2. "Get out of my lake".  In the Wetlands three new swans arrived and the older swan was trying to get rid of them.  It was amazing to watch. The speed he went through the water with his wings up and his neck tucked in.
  3. Coming into land - two of the swans coming back onto the water after avoiding the older swan.

Regards, Siobhan O'Connor

Hi Joe and Dominic my photos of spring are of the furze bush. It hearlds the start of the season with its lovely bright yellow colour and sweet scent ,and guaranteed it will appear year after year. Brendan Kissane

Good morning Joe & Dominic. What a great caption for this month’s entry. During the night I was speaking to South Doc re staying alive. Yet I I managed to spring out of my  leaba  at 11.40am (this morning) to capture a picture for “In Focus”. Best wishes from Kells. Agnes O’Sullivan

Hi joe and Dominic, Having regard to your photo theme "springing into action",the first photo of swimmers at Inch Beach for annual Christmas swim came immediately to mind. Second photo shows footballer leaping for the ball and final photo shows recent shot of man and his dog enjoying a walk at Inch Beach with a golden sunset in the background with the little dog all action, racing ahead and living in the moment. If we want to live in the moment all we have to do is observe our dogs.

Best regards, Michael Kennedy
