Icy patches and light breezes blanket the 35-acre park, where areas left to rewilde showcase nature’s winter transformation. As foliage rots and returns to the earth, the park’s beauty deepens, offering a serene winter landscape for all to enjoy.

Hello Joe,
Please see attached photo I took during a walk with Cahersiveen Walking Club at Gleensk near Kells around 2002 of sheep penned in a tunnel of the former GS&WR Farranfore to Valencia Harbour (Renard) branch railway line. Valencia Harbour was the most westerly railhead in Europe. In 2013 Heritage Iveragh/ Oidhreacht Uíbh Ráthaigh erected a monument, sculpted by Alan Ryan Hall, there. My camera flash caused the white eyes in the sheep.
I call the picture "Tunnel Vision", which might also describe the short-sighted official policies which led to the abandonment of the line in 1961 - not recognising its great potential as a scenic tourist railway or other uses. It is great that this potential is being belatedly realised now with the South Kerry Greenway. Great credit is due to all those who worked and are working so hard to achieve it.
It might be of interest for the forthcoming "As I See it" photo competition.
Best wishes, Tom Horgan, Waterville.
Hi Joe & Dominick
I don’t know if this is the type of photo you were looking for this month, but I had to send it in. My dog Klopp loves posing for the camera once he is paid with food, usually I have to pay extra if I put something on his head, but once he knew it was a Radio Kerry Beanie, he was delighted to co operate. I also have proof the dog did take my Radio Kerry Beanie. Always enjoy listening in every Saturday morning.
Best Wishes Charles Fitzell YNWA

Hi Joe, I really enjoy listening to the radio programme with you and Domnick! These are my grandchildren, Lauren and Clodagh having fun jumping off a stepper, so I took these two photographs from a low position which gives the perspective of the girls flying over the gate, as I see it!
Regards, Breda Pembroke, Farranfore
Hi Joe and Domnick, Attached are my photos for this month's In Focus supplement on the theme of 'As I See It'.
Picture 1: As I was out for a run one one frosty morning I was stopped in my tracks by a stunning sunrise over the Wetlands in Tralee. The orange glow on the horizon was reflected beautifully on the water that was like a sheet of glass.
Picture 2: Spring was in the air for the month of March and our garden at home was a hive of activity with plenty of birds enjoying the fine weather. I was fortunate enough to capture this bird making a splash in the water as it enjoyed a bath.
Picture 3: The theme of As I See it encouraged us to capture a moment in time and I think my third picture does just that. A very expressive bulldog patiently waits for his owner to return at a filling station.
Thanks as always for putting together such a great show.
Warm regards, Mark Nolan
Hi Joe and Dominic,
Attached three photos for your competition taken recently.First is the magnificent railway viaduct over Finglas River on old Dingle Railway at Camp. This original viaduct had to be abandoned after an accident with three fatalities in 1893.As a consequence a new crossing was constructed upstream at a less acute and safer alignment.Viaduct although visible from public road is possibly under appreciated as it is located on a bad bend where it is impossible to stop and pull in and observe it.Second image shows Dunquin Pier on a bright March day.Final image, taken last Monday from Conor Pass, shows parish of Lispole with Short Strand,An Searrach at Kinard,Dingle Bay and the mountains of Iveragh in the background.
Best Regards, Michael Kennedy, Inch
Hello Joe
Well, I decided to send in a few images relating to my work on our farm, which I love, showing country living ‘AS I SEE IT’….. ON A DAILY BASIS’. All these photos were taken this week
1.Our ‘Kerry’ cows with their calves looking at me curiously, one calf getting ready to feed off his Mammy
- Four of our young calves enjoying their feed of fresh milk
- Our cows heading down to the fields for grazing after being milked.
Thank you very much, I enjoy listening in every month to the photography talk.
Sincerely, Roisin Rice Abbeydorney
