Govt Plans to Regulate Short-Term Lets: Will It Improve Housing Supply? – April 8th, 2025

A memo was being brought to Cabinet this morning about the regulation of the short-term letting market by the Ministers for Housing and Tourism. There are plans for a register with Fáilte Ireland as well as a blanket ban on planning permissions for all properties in any town of 10,000 or more, which means Tralee and Killarney would be affected.
