Tom Stephenson of Ballyard and formerly Oakpark, Tralee, passed away peacefully on 13th June 2025, in the presence of his loving family and in the excellent care of the Palliative Care Unit of University Hospital Kerry. Beloved son of the late Edward and Agnes, much loved brother of Frank and the late Gordon, dear father of Edward, Michelle, Desmond, Frank and Brian, and husband of the late Mary (nee Quinlan of Waterville).

Cherished grandfather of Emily, Peter, Juliet, Abby, Sarah, Jack, Sam, Francesca and Chloe and father-in-law to Helen, Suzanne, Niamh and Drew.

Tom had the joy of great friendships throughout his life. He is survived by his former partner Eileen Walsh, and by Gráinne O’Malley who was a companion to him in recent years.

Reposing at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee on Sunday (15th June) from 3 to 4.30 p.m. Funeral arriving to St. John’s Church on Monday at 11.30 a.m. where the Requiem Mass for Tom will be celebrated at 12 noon (streamed on www.stjohns.ie). Interment afterwards in Rath Cemetery, Tralee.
