Former CEO of Bord na gCon and past Captain and past President of Lahinch Golf Club.
Sean passed away peacefully on 25th April 2026 surrounded by his loving family at University Hospital Limerick after a short illness aged 93 years. Predeceased by his son John, his parents James (Jimmy) and Margaret, and his brothers Maurice (Mossie) and Michael. Sean will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Marion (Desmond), sons James and Niall, daughters in law Trish and Eimear, grandchildren Enda, Eleanor, John, James, Conor and Kealon, his brother Gerard and sister Mary Carroll, brothers in law and sisters in law, nephews, nieces relatives and his many friends.

Reposing at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Crecora (V94 E0C5) on Sunday (26th April) from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Monday 27th April at 12pm followed by burial in Reilig Ide Naofa Cemetery, Abbeyfeale (arriving for 3pm). Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Alzheimer’s Society Adare Day Care.
