Micheál died peacefully on the 12th February 2026 in the Mercy Hospital Cork, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Bridie, cherished father of Larry and John Mike, dearest brother of Helen. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, his grand-children Jack, Aoibhín, Eoghan and Saibh, daughters-in-law Carla and Tracey, sister-in-law Kathy May, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Larry and Kitty Pierce and his brother-in-law Vincent.

Reposing at Hartnetts Funeral Home, Chapel Road, Ballyheigue (V92 WTK8) on Sunday 15th February from 5 -7 pm followed by removal to St. Mary's Church, Ballyheigue. Requiem mass for Micheál will be celebrated on Monday at 11am on 16th February in St. Mary's Church, Ballyheigue followed by internment in St. James Old Cemetery, Ballyheigue.
