Unexpectedly, on January 27th, 2026. Pre-deceased by his parents Philly and Joe Shanahan. Beloved husband of Janet and much-loved father of Lachlann. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken brothers Timmy, Joseph, Patrick and Anthony, sisters Joan and Catherine, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunt, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends in Ireland and Australia.

Funeral and Cremation service has taken place in Melbourne for Michael. Requiem Mass for Michael Shanahan will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Listowel on Saturday morning (February 28th) at 10.30am. Mass will be live-streamed on www.listowelparish.com .
