Maurice (The Bear) Walsh of Ballygoughlan, Glin, Co. Limerick and formerly of Leitrim East, Moyvane.
Maurice passed away peacefully, on July 24th, 2026, in the wonderful care of the Palliative Care Unit, University Hospital Kerry, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Jackie and Nora Walsh (née Mulvihill). Loving husband of Frances (née Collins), adored father of Noreen and Marie, proud grandad of Jack, cherished brother of Mary, Brendan, Joe, Timmy, Sean, Micheál, Jerry, Betty-Ann and Pat. He will be sadly missed by Noreen's husband Colm, Marie's partner Conor, Jack's partner Laura, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and many wonderful neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Lyons Funeral Home, Derry, Listowel, on Tuesday evening (July 28th), from 4.00pm to 7.00pm. Funeral arriving to The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane, on Wednesday morning at 10.45am, with the Requiem Mass for Maurice being celebrated at 11.00am, live-streamed on www.churchmedia.tv/moyvane , followed by burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tarbert.
