Margaret (Rita) Carmody née Somers, Ahalana, Moyvane and formerly of Knockreagh, Listowel.
Peacefully, on November 25th, 2025, at University Hospital Kerry, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John and her parents Jack and Madge. Rita will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Michael and Sean (John Paul), sister Mary Stack, brothers Noel, Michael and Patrick, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours, friends and her beloved dogs Rose and Spot. Reposing at Lyons Funeral Home, Derry, Listowel, on Thursday evening (November 27th) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Funeral arriving to The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane, on Friday morning at 10.45am, with the Requiem Mass for Rita being celebrated at 11.00am, live-streamed on www.churchmedia.tv/moyvane , followed by burial afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane.
The family would like to thank the staff of Willow Brooke Care Centre, Castleisland and University Hospital Kerry, for the wonderful care given to Rita.
