Maeve O'Sullivan née Butler, Bella Vista, Killarney Road, Kenmare and formerly of Portmagee.

Maeve passed away peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at Kenmare Community Nursing Unit and in the presence of her loving family. Fondly remembered, after a long and happy life, by her loving sons Michael and Dermot, brother Billy, daughters-in-law Helen and Orla, son-in-law Séamus, grandchildren Katie, Niamh, Will, Tom and Hadera, sisters-in-law Josie and Cynthia, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends. Predeceased by her loving husband Jerry, son Brian, daughter Frances and grandson Brendan, parents James and Frances, brothers Vincent, Jamesie and Brendan and sister Sr. Frances. Maeve’s family would like to offer a special word of thanks to her Homehelp Team, her cousin Sue, her GPs and her great friends who all helped Maeve to live independently for so long.

 

Rest in Peace.

 

Reposing at Finnegan’s Funeral Home, Kenmare on Tuesday (November 4th) from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Arrival at Holy Cross Church, Kenmare at 10am on Wednesday (November 5th) for 10.30am Requiem Mass, which will be livestreamed on https://kenmareparish.ie/ – followed by burial in Old Kenmare Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Kenmare Community Nursing Unit.

I have very fond memories of Maeve who took a computer class with me many years ago. My husband painted a beautiful painting of the Skelligs for her, which we hope brought her joy. Rest in peace Maeve.
