The death has occurred of Liam O' Mahony, Clahanebawn, Ballyheigue, who passed away peacefully at home on the 15th October 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Though his battle was hard, his bravery was harder still. A true fighter whose courage inspired everyone around him.

Pre-deceased by his father Christy, mother Mary, brother Patrick, uncle Paddy O' Mahony and brother-in-law John O' Grady.

Beloved husband of Maureen (nee O' Grady), adored father of his four girls, Eimear, Ailín, Marie and Sinéad and cherished grandfather of Danny.

Dearly missed by his brothers John, Christy and Kieran, his sisters Mary, Delia, Kitty, Dora and Betty, sons-in-law Kevin, Shane, Gordan and John, sisters-in-law Juliana, Hannah, Theresa and Angela, brothers-in-law Eamon, Jimmy, Maurice, Thomas, Kevin and Noel, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

 

Liam's warmth, energy and kindness touched everyone who knew him.

MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE.

 

Reposing on Friday evening, October 17th, at Hartnett's Funeral Home (V92 WTK8), Ballyheigue from 5-8pm.

Arriving at St. Mary's Church, Ballyheigue at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday 18th October for requiem mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St, Mary's Cemetery, Ballyheigue.

Mass will be live streamed on www.dioceseofkerry.ie/parish/ballyheigue

Liam's family would like to thank Dr. Patricia Sheehan, Palliative Consultant and Dr. Richard Bambury Oncologist and all the Palliative and Oncology Team in University Hospital Kerry for the wonderful care and kindness over the years.
