Kevin passed away peacefully on July 24th 2026 at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Dererca, his brothers Des, Tony and Justin, his sister Evelyn, his brother-in-law Joe and his sister-in-law Teresa. Kevin will be forever loved and sadly missed by his heartbroken daughter Sinead, his son Des, his son-in-law Alan, his daughter-in-law Eimear, his much loved and devoted sister Marie and his adored grandchildren Katelyn, Dessie, Tiernan and Fionn who were the light of his life. He will also be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his sister-in-law Kate, his brothers-in-law Paddy and John, Dererca’s siblings Bridie and Pat, Pat’s wife Frances and Joe’s wife Kathleen, his extended family, neighbours, former colleagues and his many friends.

Reposing at Milford Care Centre, Castletroy on Sunday (26th July) from 6pm to 7.30pm. Funeral arriving at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Monday (27th July) for Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by burial in Kilmurry Cemetery. Kevin was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather and a loyal friend. His quiet strength, gentle nature and kind heart will be remembered always by those who knew and loved him. The Devane family wish to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and staff of University Hospital Limerick, Professor Lyons and his team at St. Camillus Hospital, the dedicated staff of Milford Care Centre and Dr. Robert Magner for the exceptional care, kindness and compassion shown to Kevin throughout his illness. The support and comfort you gave to Kevin and to our family will never be forgotten.
