The death has occurred of John W. Gill, Reenard Cross, Caherciveen, peacefully at his home, on Thursday, 10th of April 2025. John is predeceased by his loving wife Vourneen. Sadly missed by his two sons Michael and Sean, his brother Michael, his daughters-in-law Colleen and Ruth, his grandchildren Jessica, Alison, Isabel and Sophie, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May John Rest In Peace

Reposing this Sunday evening in Daly’s Funeral Home, Caherciveen (V23 NN59), from 5pm to 7pm followed by removal to the O’Connell Memorial Church, Caherciveen. Requiem Mass will take place on Monday at 11am with burial afterwards in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Caherciveen.

I sailed with John for several years in the '60s and he became a lifelong friend, We will miss him. He was one of the very best.
