John passed away peacefully on February 19th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family in the exceptional care of the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, University Hospital Kerry. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Bridie and brother Peter. Dearly loved husband of Bernie and loving father of Ian and Thelma. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, daughter-in-law Marguerite, son-in-law Keith, his adored grandchildren Lorcan, Mia and Megan, brothers Tom and Dan, sisters Hannah and Helen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and wonderful friends.

Reposing at Finucane's Funeral Home, Moyvane, on Sunday afternoon from 1.30 pm. to 4.30pm.
Requiem mass will be celebrated for John Stackpoole in the Church of the Assumption, Moyvane, livestreamed on churchsevices.tv on Monday morning at 11 O’clock
Internment afterwards in Ahavoher Cemetery, Moyvane.
