It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John O’Mahony who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, after a short illness, on Tuesday June 9th, 2026.

John is very sadly missed and dearly loved by his wife Geraldine, his daughter Molly, her partner Joe, and his dog Nigel.

John is lovingly remembered by his brother Brian, sisters Joan, Mary and Sheila, sisters-in-law Maryrose O’Mahony, Mary O’Shea and Teresa Hickey, brothers-in-law Jacques Mention, Karl O’Doherty and Francis O’Shea, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and his wide circle of friends.

John is pre-deceased by his parents Patrick and Sheila O’Mahony.

Reposing at O'Shea's Funeral Home, Killarney this Sunday the 14th of June from 3:30pm to 6:00pm. Funeral arriving at St. Mary's Cathedral on Monday morning at 10:00am for Requiem Mass at 10:30am. A private cremation will take place afterwards in the Island Crematorium Cork at 2:00pm.
