John Murray of Blackpool, The Spa, Tralee.

ied peacefully on 27th November 2025, beloved husband of Mags and dearest father of

Sean, Ann-Marie, Bryan, Ciarán and the late Laura (died 13th October 2025).

 

Sadly missed by his loving family, his grandchildren Jack, Gearóid, Molly, Peadar, Sofia, James, Henry, Ciara, Seán, Orla, Aoife, Alexander & Louis,

Great-grandchildren Conor and James, daughters-in-law Dani and Sarah, sons-in-law John and Peter, Ciarán’s partner Ciara, also Ken Savage,

brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, former colleagues in MTU, wonderful neighbours, relatives and many friends.

 

Rest in Peace.

 

John will repose at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee, on Sunday (30th November) from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral arriving to Church of the Purification,

Churchill on Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. where the Requiem Mass for John will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. (streamed on

www.churchmedia.tv/churchill). Interment afterwards in Realt na Mara Cemetery, Churchill.

 

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to The Irish Society for Autism (www.autism.ie), or care of The Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee.

 

A special thanks to John’s carers over the past 5 years and Dr. Adrian O’Gara and all the team at Ardfert Medical Centre.

Deeply saddened by the news of Johns passing. Deepest sympathies to Johns wife, Mags and all adoring family members. John was part of the magnificent 7 who joined RTC Tralee in 1987. He dedicated his life to his family above all else. May he rest in peace.

Deepest condolence to the Murray family on the passing of John.He always made us feel at home in the Spa and Tralee when we were down in the Kingdom.Many a night he had with the Finbarrs crew as we sang the night away with one of his favourite songs An puck ar bhuail.He always made his way to the Barrs club any time he was in Dublin and was always in great form.Ar deis De go raibh a anam
