John McCarthy, Cherrytree Drive, Listowel and formerly of Coolanelig, Duagh. Peacefully, on April 28th, 2026, in the wonderful care of the Palliative Care Unit, U.H.K surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Timothy and Maisie, his baby daughter Eileen, brother Daniel, uncles James and Mike Cronin, brothers-in-law Willie Joe Hickey, Jer, John Joe and Mossie Long. Lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Noreen, daughter Mary, son Seán, Mary's husband Brendan, Seán partner Sandra, adored grandchildren Maisie, Amber, Jack and Alanna, sisters Mary Crowley (Cork), Roseline Hickey (UK), Bridie Kent (Cork) and Ann Quirke (Duagh), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Lyons Funeral Home, Derry, Listowel on Friday evening (May 1st) from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Funeral arriving to St. Mary's Church, Listowel on Saturday morning at 10.15am, with the Requiem Mass for John being celebrated at 10.30am, live-streamed on www.listowelparish.com , followed by burial afterwards in St. John Paul II Cemetery, Ballybunion Road, Listowel.
