In keeping with Government & HSE Guidelines, Jack’s funeral is for family only. On Saturday, July 10th, before arrival at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Gneeveguilla, Jacks’ funeral cortege, will complete a final journey of ‘The Ring’, leaving his residence at 1pm, passing the Forge Cross and turning right. McCarthy, Gneeveguilla Village, on Thursday, July 8th, peacefully, after a short illness, John (Jack). Predeceased by his brother Denis and recently by his wife Mary Theresa (nee Cronin). Loving father to Cáit (O Connor), Máire (O Mahony) and Liam. Deeply regretted by daughter in law Julia, sons in law Niall and Sean. Greatly cherished by grandchildren; Katie, Aoibhínn, Libbie, Elaine, Óran, Nelius and Sinead. Much loved brother to Jerry, Eileen, Billy, Joe, Tadhg, Catherine Ann (Long). Sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
