Fr Paddy, Your game of cards is over. No wonder holding the Joker until the last draw to make 31 with that roguish smile. Proceed to the next Ultimate Table on the High Altar, where you will get a fáilte mór isteach. Did you have 6 cards, including the Ace of Hearts? Just wondering? It breaks our hearts to see you go from Fr Paddy's Wednesday night 31 Games at Dr Crokes. Ní bheidh do leithéid ann arís, Paddy Doc, Leas-Uachtarán Dr Crocaigh. We may have great men, but we'll never have better Glory Oh, glory oh for the black and amber.

Sincere sympathy to all of Fr Paddy’s immediate family and to his ‘Legion’ of friends home and abroad. I am sorry that I won’t be able to attend his funeral but will be there in spirit and in prayer. Fr Paddy has been a friend for as long as I can remember. I will miss our banter about Dr Crokes but most of all his uplifting presence every time we met. Paddy was a ‘sagart den scoth’ a friend to all who were in need. May his journey from the Kingdom of Kerry , of which he em was a proud and loyal subject , to his true home in the Kingdom of heaven be swift. Solas síoraí dà anam dílis crógach
