Bartolomew (Batt) passed away peacefully after an illness borne with courage and dignity at Cork University Hospital, on May 15th 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Julia Mary. Sadly, missed by his loving wife Joan (née Buckley), children John, Mary (Cronin), Michael, Diarmuid, Margaret, Sheila and Anne, their partners Suzanne, Dan, Sarah, and Beth, grandchildren Ryan, Emma, Kian, Dónal Óg, Thady, Rory and Miah, brothers Patrick and Michael, sisters Margaret, Julia, Mary and Joan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and wide circle of extended family and friends.

Reposing at Casey’s Funeral Home, Kiskeam, on Sunday (May 17th) from 4pm to 6pm, followed by Removal to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Kiskeam. Requiem Mass on Monday (May 18th) at 12 noon, followed by burial in Kiskeam Cemetery. Batt’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed and may be viewed at www.churchservices.tv/kiskeam.
