Could Kerry Be Home to Both Public and Private LNG facilities? – March 6th, 2025

Cabinet has approved the development of a state-led LNG facility, as yet unknown where, while the removal of the policy statement on the importation of fracked gas now opens the door to separate commercial LNG facilities. One such proposed facility has been on the cards for North Kerry for around 20 years.

Fine Gael councillor Michael Foley, who has long-called for a facility on the Tarbert-Ballylongford landbank spoke to Jerry. Cllr Foley also spoke on the burning of the Tarbert bird hide.
