Commemoration of the Shooting of Michael T Costello in Lixnaw – August 21st, 2023

A commemoration of what’s believed to be the last shooting incident of the Civil War is taking place this Saturday, August 26th. Michael T Costello was shot outside the church in Lixnaw. For the first time, Michael T Costello's relatives will meet with descendants of Mary Maher, the nurse who saved his life, at this weekend's event.
