Fire, road and water safety officials gathered at Banna to launch this year’s Amber Thursday initiative ahead of this August bank holiday weekend. Amber Thursday is an interagency joint initiative to raise awareness of the risk and dangers on the road, in water, or with fire. Garda Inspector Gary O’Carroll spoke to Treasa Murphy.
