Meath official, David Gough, was confirmed by the GAA to take charge of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final between Kerry and Dublin.
He refereed the drawn 2019 final between the two counties – a decision that faced some scrutiny at the time because he lives in the capital.
Mark Griffin, Kerry representative on the Munster Referee committee, has been defending David Gough’s reputation.
