100 Years Ago Today: The First Dáil and Soloheadbeg – January 21st, 2019

Today is the centenary of the sitting of the first Dáil in the Mansion House and the Soloheadbeg ambush in West Tipperary – the latter incident remains mired in controversy, not least of all, because of the character of one of its protagonists, Dan Breen. Historian and writer Derek Molyneux and Tim Hanley, PRO of the Soloheadbeg Centenary Committee, spoke to Jerry.
