Workers at Shannon Development refuse to rule out industrial action

The union representing Shannon Development workers says they are hopeful of a revival of the four billion euro investment plan once their dispute with the Minister has been resolved. The Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment is looking to strip the regional development fIrm of responsibilities which would possibly lead to job losses in regions including North Kerry.Workers are not ruling out industrial action according to Siptu. Tony Kenny says he is hopeful of a positive outcome following their negotiations and that further jobs will be created through the expansion scheme planned for the Mid West.
