Women’s Humans Rights Alliance speaks out on women in politics

The Government has alot more to do to increase the number of women in politics in Ireland, according to Women`s Human Rights Alliance. The Irish Government was examined last month for their implementation of the convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women.In 1995 there were 20 women in the Dail, now there is 22. Speaking on the Kerry Today programme Noreen Clancy, Co Ordinator of the Women`s Human Rights Alliance says women need more support.
