Woman comes forward after appeal to Tralee hit and run

Tralee gardaí say a woman has come forward after an appeal to a hit and run incident.

A 13-year-old girl was walking on the pedestrian crossing at the Clash roundabout in Tralee on the afternoon of the 8th of June when she was struck by a jeep; the female driver didn’t stop at the scene.

The teenage girl sustained a broken arm in the incident.

Gardaí say following an appeal the driver has now made contact with them.

A file is being prepared for the superintendent for summary disposal of the case.

Gardaí are, however, continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Tralee Garda Station.
