White tailed eagle found dead on Dingle Peninsula

A young white tailed eagle introduced to Killarney National Park as part of a reintroduction project has been found dead.

The remains of the two year old eagle, known as Eddie, were discovered by a Coillte forestry worker near Clohane village on the Dingle Peninsula.

It’s believed he had been dead for some months, the cause of death is not known.
