The Premier League champions can put one foot in the quarter finals by beating Schalke in Germany.


City’s opponents finished second in the Bundesliga last season, but are currently just eight points above the relegation zone.

Pep Guardiola says his side can’t afford to take things easy in the last 16 first leg.

At the same time Cristiano Ronaldo renews his rivalry with Atletico Madrid.

The former Real Madrid star is back in the Spanish capital to lead the Juventus attack.

Conor O’Shea feels there has been massive overreaction to Ireland’s Six Nations defeat to England.

The Italy coach is preparing to take on his home nation in the same tournament in Rome on Sunday.

He has helped the Azzuri beat the likes of South Africa, but he is still searching for a first win in the Six Nations.

He thinks Irish fans need some perspective.

The Irish squad are back training at Carton House today as the countdown continues to Sunday’s Six Nations match against Italy.

After recovering from injury Robbie Henshaw, Tadhg Beirne and Iain Henderson are pushing for a recall to the team.
