Iker Casillas has suffered a heart-attack.

The Porto goalkeeper was rushed to hospital after collapsing in training today.

The 2010 World Cup-winning Captain with Spain is said to be in a stable condition.

Casillas is 37, but recently signed a contract extension with the Portuguese champions and hadn’t ruled out adding to his 167 international caps.

Liverpool will hope to maintain an impressive record when they face Barcelona in tonight’s first leg of their Champions League semi final.

However, Barca are unbeaten in their last 31 home games in the Champions League.

Kick-off is at 8.

Meanwhile, Liverpool chief executive Peter Moore has called on the clubs fans to act with grace and humility in the Catalan city.

Merseyside Police are working with the club to identify people involved in two incidents of individuals being shoved into fountains.

Moore says such behaviour is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

An interim manager will be placed in charge of Cork City for Friday’s SSE Airtricity Premier Division trip to Bohemians.
