Warning about counterfeit notes ahead of Rose of Tralee festival

Tralee Gardai are warning businesses and people to be wary of forged notes ahead of the Rose of Tralee International Festival.

There has been an increase of counterfeit notes detected in the town and businesses which come across them are being asked to keep the note and report it to Gardai.

It is understood the majority are €50 notes but of poor quality.


Meanwhile, Gardai are appealing for information following the theft of a community lawnmower in Tralee.

Around 3 o’clock on Friday morning last, thieves stole the black and red petrol lawnmower from the garden of a house in New Marian Park.

The lawnmower, which had to be lifted over a wall to be taken, was used around the estate to keep grass in communal areas cut and Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
