Wages are increased for three Polish construction workers

Three Polish men working on the construction of the Tralee Health Care Centre near Kerry General Hospital are to have their wages increased. It follows a claim that the men were not being paid the correct amount in line with construction regulations. They are now to earn an hourly rate of 14.90 until the end of the contract. The increase was granted following a complaint to Siptu who in turn pushed for the wage increase. Martin Leahy is the Siptu Branch Secretary for Construction.
